When I wanted to purchase a home in Charlottesville, a friend could not speak more highly about Kelly and suggested that I reach out to her.

I had recently moved to Charlottesville from New York and was not yet very familiar with the area. Working with Kelly was an extremely positive experience. She encouraged me to take my time and make the right decision. She visited different kinds of homes in different kinds of neighborhoods and talked to me about the pros and cons of each one. She walked me through these homes and pointed out what I should look for both on the inside (e.g., quality of the HVAC system) and the outside (e.g., elevation).

She is extremely knowledgeable about the city and her experience was helpful in narrowing down the kind of home that I wanted to buy. I was grateful for the time and energy that she spent with me, especially as I was not looking for expensive or luxury housing. At every step of the way she explained how different processes would work and took time to make sure that I understood what I was agreeing to – signing a contract to work together, making offers and counteroffers etc.

Her extensive experience in the business also meant that she was familiar with other businesses/services I needed and could tell me which ones to consider (and which ones to avoid). For instance, she recommended several places when I expressed wanting to replace the carpeting in the new house for hardwood.

We keep in touch, and I continue to reach out to her about small things (e.g., suggestions for a handyman). I trust her judgement implicitly. I have been in my new home for 6 months now and I am so happy with my purchase.

If I plan to sell or buy again in Charlottesville, I would not hesitate to work with Kelly again!
