Superlatives are the refuge of lazy writers. But in this case they are simply the best way to say how splendidly Kelly inducted us into the process of real-estate shopping in this year’s superheated market.
From mid-winter forward she found us many a house to investigate, and guided us to and through the many options that we had to sample in order to figure out (as Kelly patiently understood we had to do) just what it was that we were looking for.
She has an excellent and seasoned eye for features good and problematic, obvious and out-of-the-way in a marketed house. Her guidance through the technicalities of contract (ours with her for the search, and then with the seller as we got to closing in mid-summer) was conscientious: impeccable as to details, and at the same time sympathetic as to scruples about offers and negotiations. She also put us unerringly in touch with experts in home inspection and finance. At last she had to go a few extra miles when the closing was scheduled during our absence from town, sticking up for us on a few points of inspection, shepherding our attorney-in-fact, and at the eleventh hour even arranging for the repair of sticky locks to our newly acquired doors.
I’m sure I’ve forgotten one or two favors and extras that graced this relationship, but that’s because there were so many. You won’t do better than Kelly Ceppa.
